  7. Seems all these fissures are indicative of the size of the potential new cauldera that is forming underground since the earthquakes more than likely opened up areas in the ground for the lava to fill and make that possible. I wouldn't wait around to find out once it erupts in a Mt. St. Helens-type explosion once all that lava hits the main water table. Plan a vacation off the island for a couple weeks, or go visit and stay with some relatives stateside for awhile. GTFO now before it is too late!

  14. Why do people continue to ignore emergency situations, we have this happen in Australia with bush fires and floods people want to stay with their properties, that’s when lives are lost. Then they expect emergency services to step in and help. We lost our 20 year old son who was a volunteer fire fighter during a bush fire. I’m worried and praying for all the people in the area. Head the warnings please.

  20. These geologists are some of the dumbest professionals I have ever seen! The more I listen to them the more I realize they have no idea what the duck they are talking about! At this point I think they just making shit up as they go! Reality check the deepest hole ever dug was 7.5 miles deep and these professionals look like they couldn't dig a 6ft hole if their lives depended on it! But I bet they could tell us what the core of the earth looks like?? Yea…….right? If you live on the big island or have loved ones there DON'T LISTEN TO THE SO CALLED PROFESSIONALS! USE COMMON SENSE PEOPLE!

  29. Have you considered that there's fissures allowing sea water into the magma. It's not like this thing is miles inland.
Whats going to be incredible is if this is indeed what is taking place, it will cool the top layer and form a crust allowing pressure to build. (Hence more fissures) If you've ever seen a pressure cooker explode then you'll have an idea of what is possible.
Any change in temperature in the water? It should be well above tepid on that side of the island.
    Just something to think about.
